Founded in order to provide a network of Internet cafes geared toward the backpacker market, Global Gossip became one of the largest networks for travellers in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Vanuatu. It spread out over 150 locations with 13,000 users a day.

Global Gossip was founded in 1998, driven by a desire to offer travellers a trusted network of internet cafes across Australasia.
